CoPW C371 – Me? Of Course I’m from the Flaming Horns tribe

So, I had to read this next chapter to check and it looks like Guangyi was just face blind, not really blind. (^_^♪) I corrected the prev chap too.

During this time, Guangyi had encountered an unsolvable problem and could not think of the way to solve it. Therefore, his mood today was not very good. Thereafter, he did not expect that he’d come out for a walk and unexpectedly met a young man still out so late from playing outside.

Guangyi was unable to remember a lot of people. In the tribe, he could only remember no more than the fingers in his two hands, but that’s because these were decade old friends he often get along with. If it’s others, Guangyi would not recognize them. However, Guangyi has a special status and strength in the tribe. This shortcoming was nothing to that. But even with that, he himself was not interested in the position of being the head of the hunting team because he found the recognition too troublesome. He had to remember the name of the people in the team every time they were out. For him, this was a big problem.

Usually, when he came out of the tribe and met other people, they would say hello to him and he would respond, but he would not remember those people’s looks. However, he could still judge if it was a person from another tribe or someone from his tribe, regardless of whether the person had used a disguise. As long as they were close, Guangyi could recognize them at a glance. There was a common aura belonging to his tribesmen. Just like how the long-clawed monkey could recognize the same aura from Shao Xuan and knew that he was from the Flaming Horns tribe. Even though Shao Xuan was not using his totem power now, he exudes a subtle aura the same as the Flaming Horns people. As long as it was a slightly sharper person, they could recognize it.

Since he could not recognize the person but could determine that the other party was from their own tribe, Guangyi thought that Shao Xuan was just a disobedient boy when he first saw him. It was time to return to the tribe but this boy was still unexpectedly strolling outside! If he had not yet repented, he would have to discipline him.

“You, young men are really… Don’t always think how good you are! Do you know how many evil beasts are there in this mountain forest? How many evil beasts even I’m afraid of? Why does this tribe go out in a team to hunt instead of alone? Because a person alone hunting is impractical! You think you’re better than Du Kang? Don’t be arrogant. Do you think you’re better than Wu Zhan, Tao Zheng or Zhui?”

Guangyi turned his head and stared at Shao Xuan to see if there was any impatience or other expressions on his face.

Shao Xuan changed his expression to respectful when the man turned. Although he did not know who in the world Du Kang was, as well as what characters Wu Zhan, Tao Zhen and Zhui were. From Shao Xuan’s experience in this cases, listening to his elder was the best choice.

However, he knew that a few of the names he mentioned just now were definitely known people in the tribe. Shao Xuan knew he had to remember these few people from now on.

Seeing that Shao Xuan’s attitude was fine, Guangyi was relieved. But his reprimand was still not finished.

“You people are arrogant! Arrogant! You don’t listen! Hunting a few small beasts and it made you feel that you can dominate the mountains, that’s stupid! If you came across an adult mountain lion, a cave bear, or some other huge, powerful beast, how long do you think you can live? Aside from that, even the smaller ones can easily leave you injured in the woods forever. There’s that long-clawed monkey that the Taihe tribe lost to. One can easily cut you!”

Shao Xuan who was listening to the monologue, reacted suddenly when he heard the mention of the long-clawed monkey, thinking of the one he had caught himself earlier. He was about to say something, but the man in front of him glared at him, as if saying: You still want to argue?!

After thinking, Shao Xuan continued to be silent, with a serious look on his face.

Guangyi was satisfied. He continued to reprimand Shao Xuan for his unruly behavior.

Shao Xuan was just two paces behind Guanyi, walking in a distance.

The second line of defense for the Flaming Horns tribe was a wall surrounded by huge stakes and stones, and there were people guarding the door when they went in.

When they saw Guangyi bringing in a stranger, they were quite curious, but since it was Guangyi, they never thought to ask more.

They waited for Guangyi and Shao Xuan to go in farther, before the guards talked about it among themselves so they won’t be heard.

“Who was the man with Guangyi?” Someone asked.

“I don’t know, but he’s brought in by Guangyi, so we don’t need to worry.” Although Guangyi was face blind, there has never been an event that he brought an enemy into the tribe. They’re not worried.

While listening, Shao Xuan was watching the surrounding scenery and layout. He really didn’t think it was so easy to get into the tribe, and getting in this way was really unexpected.

The layout here was not much different from the Flaming Horns tribe’s layout Shao Xuan knew. The living area at the center was also on a hill, but it was only a small hill. There were a small number of fields planted around it and it’s also just a small amount. There were also captive animals around. Some of the small animals that look tamed were also not much. It seemed that the most important food source in the Flaming Horns tribe here was also hunting.

However, their dealings with the outside world should be active, as he had observed on the copper weapons they held and the clothes they wear.

Seeing that they were doing well, Shao Xuan’s heart was also at ease.

By this time, the sun has almost set. Many people were eating dinner in their houses, so there were not many people walking outside. When those people who saw Shao Xuan, a strange face, they were also curious. But after a glance that he’s with Guangyi, they also swallowed down their doubts and thought about whether he was a family member of the people up the hill. The tribe has so many people that not everyone could remember everybody clearly. They were only familiar with their own generation.

After a while, Guangyi seemed to remember to ask Shao Xuan’s name: “What’s your name?”

Shao Xuan became nervous, but answered seriously: “My name is Shao Xuan.”

Guangyi’s footsteps paused, then he seemed to recall something, then with a stunned look, said to him: “Oh, it’s you!”

Shao Xuan: “…” Who did you think of again? You really got the wrong guy, you know?!

“Well, actually I…” Shao Xuan was interrupted before he had finished.

“All right, hurry back. Don’t try to run again, I’m watching you!” Guangyi said impatiently, looking at Shao Xuan as if his eyes was somewhat saying: You’re just wasting time with words!

Shao Xuan didn’t know what expression he should show now. He was thinking that this misunderstanding was just getting deeper.

However, since he was already misunderstood, Shao Xuan now wanted to see how far such a misunderstanding would go on.

Of course, Shao Xuan didn’t know who this man was, but when they walked along the way, he had heard others call him “Guangyi”. Looking at the attitude of those people, the position of this man in the tribe was not low.

Guangyi has led Shao Xuan to a wood and stone house. Although he could not remember his face, he knew whose house was where and he remembered it clearly.

“Go inside and don’t think about running out again.” Guangyi pointed his chin to the house.

The door of the room was open, so Shao Xuan went past the door to enter. He bowed his head, but wondered if he should say hello to his host.

Creak—

The room on the other side of the house has an open window, so from inside, the person saw Guangyi coming. However, because of the angle, he could not see the position where Shao Xuan was at by the door.

Guangyi also saw the person looking at the window. He pointed his hand at him, then asked after a thought, “You’re called…”

“My name is Zhao Ming! Uncle Guangyi, what are you doing here?” The boy inside was naturally thrilled. Guangyi was a person known to all the tribesmen. He was also adored by many young warriors. The boy wanted to jump out of the window but, thinking of the chore he was doing, he held back or he might be scolded.

“Oh, yes, Zhao Ming. Anyway, I brought your brother over. Watch over him and don’t let him run off!” After dropping this reminder, he immediately turned and went down the hill.

Zhao Ming heard what Guangyi said but he found it quite strange. His brother just took part in the hunt and his results were good. He even made a small contribution. Tonight, he went out to celebrate with a few of his friends, so how could he “run off”?

After thinking about it, Zhao Ming put down what was in his hands and left the small room. He intended to ask his brother who had been personally brought back by Guangyi.

“I say, brother, you’re not going to celebrate…”

But when Zhao Ming came out of the room and looked at the stranger standing at the door, the words got stuck in his throat.

“Who are you?!” Zhao Ming asked with vigilance in his eyes. His hands was touching something behind his back.

“Me? Of course, I’m from the Flaming Horns tribe.”

This branch of the CrazyTribe really needed to go back home. The separation made them all silly even by CrazyTribe standards.
